Student Showcase - Junior School Council

Donald Primary's Junior School Council is an important vehicle for student voice. Representatives are elected each year by their classmates. They attend regular meetings and share suggestions and ideas from their grades about fund raising possibilities and how to improve our school or tackle particular problems they think need attention.

Representatives are also responsible for reporting back to their grades after meetings, designing and displaying posters around the school to promote upcoming activities and speaking at assemblies.

Representatives from Years 1 – 6 are elected at the beginning of each year to be members of this Council.

Students who have been elected once for school council can only be elected for a second time when they are in grade 6.
